So it’s Christmas and things can get (seriously) hectic… what practices can keep us sane?
Throwing The Net Open is here to help!
Here in the very first #throwingthenetopen vlog I share something close to my heart that has become a practice in itself – and because I don’t associate it as a formal practice, there is a freshness to it at times that my meditation can lack. Because sometimes there is a rigidity to my meditation. I sit with so many expectations of how I am meant to be – what a good meditation is, what a weak meditation is and so on – that it’s like trying to practice with a consistently scolding teacher standing beside me and reprimanding me.
And yet when I head to the woods for a walk, all that I try and do in meditation and yoga: relax, focus, be present happens much more spontaneously – or at least the practice is helped by fewer ideals imposing themselves on the experience, which is a relief!
So here is me #throwingthenetopen on a practice that works for me, I’d love to know what works for you in the comments below.
Happy Christmas all,
